New puppy coming

Hi everyone,

I am soon to get my second Leo (crowd roars) and this time around I am considering either the Solid Gold giant puppy food or the Eagle Pack giant puppy food.  Has anyone have any experience with either of these foods?  Was the protein content too high?  Did your dogs suffer and pano on them?

Hi John, 

We fed Banjo "Solid Gold" but our local stores seemed to have a problem stocking it.  But he liked it and didn't have any problems on it.  We switched to Innova Giant Breed Puppy food and he did equally well on that.  We're now on Innova Giant Breed adult food and he's doing well on it too.

Our last Leo, Ajax, had allergies and our Aspen vet, Scott, switched us to a salmon based dog food which I don't remember the name of.  But if you're interested you can call Aspen Animal Hospital and they could tell you.  Ajax did much better on the salmon food but his allergies never went away completely.

When does the new pup arrive?

Thanks for the info.

I was going to try the Solid Gold for the pup.  I think they are stocking some of the solid gold food now over at RJ PaddyWacks ( no affiliation ) and also at Red Hill Animal Hospital in Bonedale.

Winter has allergies and is on fish based food by Dick Van Pattern which she seems to love.

I fly out on Thursday for Michigan and return on Friday.  I keep pacing the house looking for things which at one time were removed, modified, or sealed off to make it puppy proof again.

How is Banjo doing these days?  He must be starting to fill out nicely.
