LCA 2009 National Specialty news series

leonberber_news.jpg

The 2009 LCA National is fast approaching!

I will be doing a very special news series from the event in Wisconsin with daily leonberger news updates/images/video on my experiences and observations throughout the various shows, clinics, board meetings, and events.  If you will be attending, we will be throwing together a very impromptu RMLC meeting where we will probably be discussing details of our coming show, sharing a few laughs, and of course enjoying a few cocktails in the Leo Lounge.

Stay tuned for daily updates on our club news page!

One Year With Moby!

Copy of Leonberger Party '08 094.JPG

Hello to everyone

This is a quick note on the life of Moby it was one year ago today that I landed in Philadelphia to go find and bring home a puppy we named Moby from a Foster couple known as Boni and Bill.  Thank you so much for your hospitality that you bestowed onto Moby and myself.  This last year has been one of the best years for our family.  Mr Moby, Mojo, the Mobe, Moby Joby, Mobester, and Mobilicious has become a huge (and I mean HUGE) part of our life.  He is loved by all who come in contact with him especially to the 4 legged ones.  He plays, loves, and cuddles like no other dog that I have ever met.  The joy that he has brought to our whole family including Grant and Navarre is immeasurable.  Thanks again to the Leos In Need Rescue for approving us for the adoption of the puppy. We have had a blast with this now Big little boy.  Also, thanks to those that have shared my love in my emails over the last year about Moby.

The RMLC Board welcomes Stephanie Lucero

Chico & Steph2.JPG

We are tremendously proud to welcome Stephanie Lucero as Secretary to the 2009 RMLC Board of Directors.

Stephanie has been a long time LCA and RMLC member, active at both the National level and the regional level.  She lives in Colorado with her husband James, and their leo boy Balto.  You probably have heard of her prior Leo, Chico.  Stephanie trained Chico for therapy and he touched the lives of many, many people in need.  Both Stephanie and Chico were recognized at last year's National LCA event for all the great work the two of them accomplished together.  Committment to the breed on this level is rare and has earned her great respect among the community.  So it is with great appreciation that the RMLC welcomes Stephanie onto the board as our Secretary.

For those of you who are unaware, Stephanie is in charge of putting together the the RMLC basket for this year's 2009 Leonberger Club of America National event at the end of the month.   If you have something to contribute to the basket, please use our contact form to let us know and Stephanie will contact you.

Welcome on Board Stephanie!

Leonberger puppies and the pigeon

I love sifting through Leonberger video and footage on youtube looking for interesting things... this one caught me eye!

The Leonberger puppies here are hilarious to watch, and the brave little pigeon seems not all that interested.

Enjoy.

New RMLC website goes live!

RMLC Website

After many months of hard work, several design revisions, and a lot of time and effort, the RMLC is proud to present the new website. Our main drive behind rebuilding the site is to serve as a viable tool to continue cultivation an active Leonberger community for the Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming regions.

The new site has a wealth of information, and we will hope you find it easy to use and navigate. Several features of the site include member forums, member gallerys, and the ability to upload images, and even tag in YouTube movies.

If you would like to become a site member and start creating your own galleries and posting to the forum, head over to our website sign up page.

If you have feedback on the site please dont hesitate to drop a comment!

Best,

John Ensign, President
Rocky Mountain Leonberger Club

The RMLC welcomes Balto to the pack!

Baltos

Balto is Feiner Kennels Divine Gift. He actually was a gift from Genevieve and Lisa. He will be almost 4 months old now. His aspiration is to become a Therapy Dog like is late cousin Chico! Or maybe a runway model for the ski resort! LOL! In the mean time he is busy being a very funny and wonderful little character that James and I are both madly in love with!

Welcome to the pack Balto!
